Mellott Rosserhead Debarkers feature a vertical track for the carriage which eliminates log hang-up when logs are kicked off the debarker. This vertical track also permits the overall width of the debarker to be kept to a minimum.
The speed of the bullwheel and carriage drives can be varied so that the operator can control rotation of the log and carriage travel to best advantage. Large hydraulic motors drive the bullwheels, which eliminates a gear box usually found on competitive drives.
Head down pressure can be varied so that correct cutting is obtained for various species.
Combination starters are included for cutterhead drive and hydraulic power source electric motors. The debarker is pre-wired at factory and all hydraulic and air lines are installed. The debarker is shipped with hydraulic oil.
